Executive-Functioning & Dissertation Coaching

Executive-Functioning Coaching

Support for:

  • Planning & organization

  • Time management

  • Working memory & processing speed

  • Attention & inhibition management

  • Flexibility & emotional regulation

  • Self-monitoring

  • Task initiation & completion

I provide executive‑functioning coaching as a personalized, strengths‑based partnership that helps you build the everyday skills essential for academic, professional, and personal success. Together we’ll pinpoint the specific executive processes—planning, prioritizing, time‑blocking, organization, task initiation, self‑monitoring, and emotional regulation—that feel most challenging for you, and we’ll co‑create practical, adaptable systems that fit your natural workflow.

My coaching is neurotype‑affirming: whether you identify as neurodivergent, neurotypical, or anywhere along the spectrum, I honor the ways your brain processes information and tailor strategies accordingly. We might use visual planners, digital reminders, habit‑stacking, tactile cues, or flexible scheduling—whatever aligns with your strengths. I also teach self‑advocacy techniques so you can communicate your needs effectively in work or school environments.

Through regular check‑ins, accountability structures, and skill‑building exercises, you’ll gain greater control over deadlines, reduce overwhelm, boost productivity, and cultivate confidence in managing complex projects. My aim is to empower you to leverage your unique cognitive profile as an asset rather than a barrier.

Dissertation Coaching

Guidance for doctoral students navigating writing, research, and defense milestones.

I offer dissertation coaching as a supportive, collaborative partnership designed to guide you through every stage of your doctoral project—from narrowing down a research question and crafting a compelling proposal to analyzing data, writing chapters, and preparing for a confident defense.

My coaching focuses on process and productivity rather than subject‑matter expertise. Together we’ll:

  • Break the dissertation into clear, achievable milestones and set realistic timelines.

  • Develop personalized writing routines that keep momentum while respecting your natural rhythms.

  • Identify and dismantle blocks—whether they’re perfectionism, systemic oppression, overwhelm, or executive‑function challenges.

  • Build strategies for effective time management, organization, and stress reduction.

  • Refine the structure, flow, and clarity of your drafts, ensuring they meet institutional standards without sacrificing your authentic voice.

I affirm and adapt to every neurotype. Whether you’re neurodivergent, neurotypical, or somewhere in between, I tailor our sessions to match your cognitive strengths and preferences—leveraging visual planners, auditory cues, flexible scheduling, or any other tools that help you thrive. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where your unique way of thinking is celebrated and harnessed to produce rigorous, impactful scholarship.

Let’s transform the dissertation from a daunting obstacle into a manageable, empowering journey—together.
